Carver Middle High School recently hosted an exciting collaboration between our Digital Photography and Culinary students, guided by professional photographer Kristin Griffin. Students worked in small teams to plan, prepare, and style dishes—both real and faux—while learning essential food photography techniques.

Kristin’s insightful demo helped them capture the most appealing looks, and they enhanced their skills in editing with Adobe Lightroom. This event showcased the creativity and talent of our students as they were introduced to the fascinating world of commercial photography and food styling! Many thanks to our teachers Chef Portelance and Mrs. Genovese and to Mrs. Griffin for their expertise and leadership!

Congratulations to MET Pathway Student Caleb Perkins on receiving his OnShape Certification!  MET Teacher, Mr. Arruda shared that students in the MET Pathway learn how to model objects in the OnShape computer-aided design (CAD) software and it is a skill that they develop throughout their time in the pathway and culminates in an opportunity to take the OnShape Associates Exam. Passing this exam demonstrates that the student has mastered their CAD skills in the OnShape platform. This level of certification is recognized by colleges and employers which can help bolster a student’s application and resume. The passing threshold is very rigorous and we should be proud of Caleb for reaching this challenging milestone on his way to becoming an engineering professional! Gavin also received special recognition for his knife skills. Way to go! Post and image by Intern Melina Berkobein This year the group voted for the Senior class to be the first recipients and gifted the Senior class with their carnations and inspirational messages at their Senior Breakfast.  Many of the them were moved to hear that the younger students selected them because they have made an impact on their lives at CMHS and looked up to them.  Both recipients and CCC members were tasked by the group led by Advisor and DFC Grant Director, Meghan Quirke and Teacher Katie Beyer to continue with that goodness and have a positive impact on their community.
