Superintendent Update 09.18.2024

To All:

This afternoon at approximately 1:20 PM, an administrator within the district reported receiving a text message of concern that read, “We still had a bomb threat at school in North Carver Mass 02330”.  No specific school was identified. Today was an early release day so at the time of this incident students had already been dismissed.  Out of an abundance of caution, we evacuated both buildings including the Y program at the Elementary School.

In collaboration with the Carver Police Department and Carver Fire Department, we searched both buildings and deemed them safe for reentry.  We thank the Carver Police and Carver Fire Department for their continued support and for helping ensure everyone’s safety.

All athletic practices at the Middle High School were canceled when the threat was received.  Since the buildings have been cleared all games and matches will be played this afternoon as scheduled. School will proceed as normal tomorrow, September 19, 2024.
