I am a Crusader Campaign

Carver High School (now Carver Middle High) opened its doors in 1986 and since then the legacy of the Carver Crusader has continued on. A crusader, as defined as: an individual who passionately and persistently campaigns for a specific cause, social change or moral principle is exactly who we hope our Carver Crusaders turn out to be, not just someone who went to Carver Schools, but someone who enacts positive change in the world around them.

You may or may not remember what it was like to walk the halls in high school but it is a challenging and exciting time in adolescence where students are trying to figure out who they are and what they want to be in the future. It is impossible to list all the future paths a person could pursue and at Carver Schools we try to offer the best opportunities for students to broaden their horizons.  Here’s where you come in – We would like your help!

“I am a Crusader” Campaign
Alumni from Carver Schools have gone on to passionately pursue careers from Medicine to the Stage and everything in between. We were hoping that YOU, Carver Alumni, could share what you are doing now after graduation (whether it was a long or short time ago) and perhaps a memory of a person, experience, opportunity, organization, etc. during your time in Carver that helped move you on into your future.

Kids thrive on reliability and whether your experiences in Carver were all around positive, or all around challenging, students just like you are walking these halls and can relate to your story, and be inspired by you and who you have become.

If you are willing, please submit a brief video with the information above – note: if you prefer to send just an audio clip and pictures, that is fine too!
Please begin your video/audio with: “My name is _____________ ” and end with “My name is _______________, Class of _________ and I am a Crusader”

We will take these raw videos and make them into a unified format and share them on a regular basis on our website, social media accounts, and school communication system. We are also asking our current students and staff to create videos about what they think it means to be a Crusader – unifying our current and former students!
