Intramurals

After school programs at the middle school level enrich student experiences and develop school climate.  The goal is to provide opportunities for all students to participate in co-educational activities that enhance the curriculum.  Several years ago we implemented an intramural program for all 6-8 middle school students. The program is held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:15 PM – 3:45 PM, based on our weekly schedule. 

Through a successful intramural program, students gain self-esteem, confidence and an appreciation for health and wellness.  An intramural program gives students an opportunity to work and interact with others throughout the building.  The activities offered will be determined based on student interest and will change frequently offering students a variety of activities. There will be a one- time user fee of $200 which allows students to participate for the entire school year.  Students may participate in all activities or may choose to participate in only the ones that interest them. 

The skills the students use to achieve success in the classroom can often be directly attributed to those skills learned through sports. Individual and team activities promote leadership, communication and teamwork.
