Intramurals will begin on October 3, 2023
Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15 PM – 3:45 PM.

Middle School Intramurals

After school programs at the middle school level enrich student experiences and develop school climate.  The goal is to provide opportunities for all students to participate in co-educational activities that enhance the curriculum.  Several years ago we implemented an intramural program for all 6-8 middle school students. The program is held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:15 PM – 3:45 PM, based on our weekly schedule.  We will begin our intramural program on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  Registration will open Monday September 11, 2023. You can register online for the Intramural Program by following the link for FamilyID located on the athletic page at

Through a successful intramural program, students gain self-esteem, confidence and an appreciation for health and wellness.  An intramural program gives students an opportunity to work and interact with others throughout the building.  The activities offered will be determined based on student interest and will change frequently offering students a variety of activities complementing weekly lesson plans in their physical education/health classes.  There will be a one- time user fee of $200 which allows students to participate for the entire school year.  Checks can be made payable to Carver Middle High School.  Students may participate in all activities or may choose to participate in only the ones that interest them.

The user fees will be used to pay intramural coaches and an additional late bus that will be designated for intramural use only and will leave the school at 3:45 PM.  If you wish to pick up your child after intramurals, you may do so by driving to the back of the middle school gym where all students will be dismissed.

The skills the students use to achieve success in the classroom can often be directly attributed to those skills learned through sports.  Individual and team activities promote leadership, communication and teamwork.
