CRUSADER BANNER AUCTION

November 1 – 16, 2026

Background

This summer we replaced all the athletic banners in the middle high school gymnasium. At the August 24, 2026 School Committee meeting the Committee voted and approved unanimously to deem the banner that were previously hanging in the gym as surplus.

While the high school athletic banners have no “traditional market value”, we realize that it is possible that some members of the Carver community may wish to purchase certain banners that have sentimental value to them.

To ensure that there is an equitable opportunity for all community members to purchase a banner, Carver Schools has engaged an external auction house to coordinate a public, online auction. The funds raised by the auction will be placed into the athletic revolving account to support Carver Middle High School athletic programs.

Helpful Auction FAQs/Details

To search for our items:

  • Use the search feature for Carver Athletics Banner followed by details about the banner (sport, year, etc.) or
  • search under the “Collectibles” category

How the Auction Works:

  • Before you bid: You need a free Municibid account with a credit card on file. Create an account.
    .
  • Find your item.  Use the search terms listed above or entering by category
    .
  • Open the listing by clicking the photo or title.
    .
  • Enter your bid. On the listing page, enter your bid amount in the bid box. Your amount must be at least the minimum bid shown. Then click Place bid. Note: If you enter more than the minimum, Municibid treats the higher amount as your maximum (proxy) bid and only bids as much as needed to keep you ahead.
    .
    A few things to know:
You cannot outbid yourself. Municibid will not raise your bid to meet your own maximum unless someone else bids or a reserve requires it. If a bid is placed in the last 2 minutes, the auction end time extends by two minutes until no further bids arrive. This helps protect against last-second sniping.
    .
  • Confirm your bid
After you click Place bid, review the confirmation page. It shows your maximum bid and the buyer’s fee that would apply if you win. The buyer’s fee percentage is also shown on the listing under the current price. Fees can vary by price tier.Example: If you win an item at $100 and the listing shows a 9% buyer’s fee, you pay the seller $100 using their payment instructions, and Municibid charges your card $9 for the buyer’s fee — not $100.
    .
  • When everything looks right, click Submit bid. How do I know my bid went through? Your status on the listing page (for example, high bidder, outbid, or high bidder with reserve not met)
    .
  • A bid confirmation email. If you do not see either, your bid did not go through — enter it again.
