We have completed our three day scheduled collection of books/materials and locker clean out. There will be someone at the school on Thursday, June 18 from 2:30 – 3 PM and Friday, June 19 10-11 AM, if you would like to drop off additional materials.
Starting Monday, June 22 we will be going through lockers and removing all items. Any books will be returned to the office and other items will either be disposed of or donated.
On Monday, June 29th we will begin to transition back to modified office hours. There will be someone in the main office Monday – Thursday from 9 AM – 2 PM. During this time you can stop by and drop off any remaining items that were issued by the school. Students in grades 8-11 should keep their school issued chromebooks over the summer unless they are in need of repair. In that case you should bring in to school so we can process the repair.

This is an online gift card fundraiser. You can order online & print from your home or keep in an online wallet. You can gift to graduates, moms for belated Mother’s Day gifts or dads for Father’s Day, essential workers or first responders, families in need, or just grab some gift cards to places you would normally shop anyway. You simply buy the eGift Cards at face value like normal & a percentage of your purchase comes right back to CMHS PTO, so we don’t miss the opportunity to continue contributing to grade level events, teacher needs, & scholarships!
We know this is an unusual time for students and families alike. And it may seem unusual for us to offer a fundraising opportunity at this time, but it seems like the perfect fundraiser for this moment.
The perfect fundraiser for a time where staying at home but staying connected matters so much! Next school year, when things hopefully return to mostly normal, we will be able to add in the option to order a physical gift card, but eGift Cards is definitely the way to go right now.

At the May 14, 2020 School Committee meeting, a motion was made and approved to participate in School Choice enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year.
There will be 5 new seats available in each grade level for students in the following grade levels:
Kindergarten, 9, 10, 11, 12

On Friday, May 22, district-wide employees will be celebrating the seniors and lining the driveway and parking lot as seniors drive thru one last time in celebration of their last day of school.

I hope this update finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank and recognize all the hard work of our families and teachers, as we continue to support our students through the remote learning process. This is truly a team effort. We understand and recognize the challenges and we are here to support you. Please review the updated information below.
Grading:
Term 4 final grades will be based on a credit/no credit designation and will be reported as either, Meets Expectations, Approaching, or Does Not Meet. We have determined that the following breakdown will determine your final grades for the year:
Once this has been calculated and your final grade for a class remains below a 60%, you will need to obtain a meets expectations to receive credit and pass the class. We will be calculating grades over the next week and guidance/administration will be contacting you if impacted.
Term 3 Report Cards:
Term 3 report cards have been printed and will be mailed out on Monday, May 4. You should receive them in the mail by the end of the week. If you do not receive a term 3 report card by then, please contact me.
Last Day of School:
The last day of school for Seniors will be May 22. Grades will close for Seniors on May 29th. The last day of school for grades 6-11 will be June 19th.
Accessing Building and Returning School Issued Materials:
We are developing a plan for students to return to the building in June to retrieve any items from lockers and other spaces in the building. We will also create a system for returning equipment, technology and textbooks. This will be planned for a time in June when hopefully some of the state restrictions have been lifted. We will update all families when these events have been scheduled.
