Turkey Trot @ CES
Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Students will participate in an informal, non-competitive Turkey Trot on Tuesday, November 26th. They will walk or run the school running path during their special block (music, art, technology, book collection, PE). Students may wear festive hats if they like. Please send them with a warm coat, sneakers, hats, and mittens on the day of the Turkey Trot.

National ESP Day!

We celebrate National Educational Support Professionals Day every year during American Education Week.  The NEA established this day to honor the Education Support Professionals who work day in and day out for public schools.  They are critical members of the education workforce who do essential work to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students, enabling them to reach higher levels of knowledge and success. They include paraeducators, clerical professionals, and lunch/recess/hall/bus monitors. On this Education Support Professionals Day,  we thank all of our ESPs for their service in Carver Public Schools everyday!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

ELEMENTARY:
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm.  Teachers in grades 3-5 will have additional time available on Tuesday, 11/5/24, from 2-4 pm to allow conferences as a team. You will hear from your child’s teacher beginning on Thursday, 10/17/24, regarding scheduling a conference.

TRY IT TUESDAY
at Carver Elementary School

We are excited to announce that we will be continuing our Try it Tuesday event again this year in the cafeteria where we will be offering samples of fruits, vegetables or seafood. This year our goal is to introduce more varieties of seafood, plant based and culturally responsive foods.

This month’s Try it Tuesday will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. As we look to create recipes with more plant based items, I am excited to introduce Kelp meatballs to our students. Chef Andrew from North Coast Seafoods will be visiting us to talk to the students about the health benefits of kelp meatballs. Encourage your student to try our kelp meatballs at our Try it Tuesday table in the cafeteria and help us move towards greater food acceptance skills.
