Carver Middle High School’s Ricardo “Rocky” Gomes Gymnasium

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, Carver’s Former and First Athletic Director, Ricardo “Rocky” Gomes was honored at a Memorial Ceremony hosted by his family after his recent passing.  The Carver School Committee unanimously voted to name the CMHS Gymnasium in his honor. On the day of his memorial following words of remembrance by Superintendent Scott Knief noting the lasting impact Mr. Gomes had on all who knew him, a plaque was revealed  that will hang in the Ricardo “Rocky” Gomes Gymnasium honoring his legacy.

2027 EUROPE TRIP

Students interested in going on the 2027 Europe trip to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris should plan to attend the informational meeting during WIN on Wednesday, May 14 in Mrs. Calvo’s Room.   The trip is first come, first serve.

Senior Athletics Celebratory Signing Day

Carver Middle High School

Any student athletes who will be continuing their athletic careers at a Division I, II or III school will be recognized at our celebratory signing day on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:30am in the upper library. Student-athletes competing at the DIII level may bring the NCAA Student-Athlete Celebratory Signing Form.

Family, friends and coaches are welcome to be there to celebrate with the athletes as this is a tremendous accomplishment for and it should be shared with those who made it possible! Memorabilia and decorations are allowed to decorate the table where your picture will be taken in front of the Carver MHS backdrop.

Multicultural Night

The community was treated to a night of celebration of art, music  and the diversity in our community at the annual Elementary Arts and Culture night. Students in Grade 2 showed off their recorder skills and the ukulele club performed as well, both under the leadership of Music Teacher, Kat Krampf and students artwork they made in classes with Art Teacher, Candy Stansfield throughout the year was displayed in the hallways.  Plus games and other fun activities! 2025 Massachusetts STEM Summit

Our very own Dr. Meredith Erickson, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and Grade 11 Student, Sophia Tibbetts were invited to speak at the 2025 Massachusetts STEM in Education Summit held at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.  Recognized as leaders in state, they shared how Carver is leading the charge in career and technical pathways and the importance of preparing students for career and college readiness.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Middle School Drama Club and their performance of “The Super Non-Heroes”!

 

Unified Athletes and Best Buddies got together for a field trip prior to vacation to celebrate another great year together in sports, partnership and friendship!

Wishing the Unified Track Team good luck as they head to the East Sectionals Meet on May 13 at Middleboro High School!

RYDER HOLMES – Baseball

  • Ryder threw a complete game on the mound on Wednesday, April 30 versus Mashpee only allowing 3 hits, 5 walks, zero runs and an impressive 14 strikeouts.
  • The team won 1-0 vs. Mashpee and is currently ranked #14 in the D5 tournament power rankings.
  • “Ryder is a great leader and a role model to younger players on the team” –Coach Cunningham

PAIGE MEDICO – Softball

  • Paige had a great game against Rockland going 3-4 from the plate, batting in 2 runs and scoring once herself.
  • The team won vs. Rockland 7-5 on the road.
  • “Paige is such a good player to have on the team, and willing to play anywhere she is needed as she has played shortstop, left field and centerfield so far this season.” – Coach Silva
