Shaw’s “Give Back Where it Counts Program” October 2021.

We have been notified that Carver Public Schools has been selected as a beneficiary of the Shaw’s “Give Back Where it Counts Program” for the month of October 2021.

The Shaw’s “Give Back Where it Counts Program” is a new reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal of making a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. Carver Public Schools was selected as the October beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Shaw’s located at N. Main Street in Carver.

Carver Public Schools will receive a $1 donation every time the reusable “Give Back Where it Counts Bag” is purchased at the Carver Shaw’s location during the month of October, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

School Committee Vacancy

The Carver School Committee and the Carver Select Board announce a vacancy for the position of School Committee Member.   Massachusetts General Law 41:11 and the Carver School Committee Policy states that voters of the town may have the opportunity to state their candidacy, the two governing bodies will meet to fill the vacancy by roll call vote.

For election to fill a vacancy, a candidate must receive a majority of the votes of the offices entitled to vote.  The person so elected will fill the seat on the committee until the next town election, at which time a member will be elected to serve the remainder of the term, if any.

Carver Schools GO GOLD for HOPE

Throughout the week, of September 20-24, Carver Public Schools will partner with the South Shore Action for Hope.

Students and staff will be able to fill the boot with spare change or handmade cards of for those battling childhood cancer.

On Friday 9/24, wear yellow or gold gear to show your support for
those battling childhood cancer.
