STUDENT DROP OFF PROCESS
Student Drop-Off begins at 7:10 a.m. at the Main Entrance, Door #1. Students who arrive to homeroom after the 7:25 a.m. bell will be marked tardy. Please pull forward as far as possible along the front of the building in order to alleviate traffic on South Meadow Road. Students are dismissed at 2:05 p.m. If you arrive to pick-up your student prior to the 2:05 p.m. dismissal bell, please park in the parking lot by the football field/high school gym and your student will meet you in the parking lot. Parking will not be allowed in the main driveway and/or in front of the main entrance. All parents will exit onto South Meadow Road, as the Pond Street exit is used for buses and student drivers.
DISMISSAL PROCESS
All appointments should be scheduled during non-school time, whenever possible. However, when it is unavoidable that a student be dismissed, parents submit plans for changes for their student by accessing the Pick Up Patrol app through their smartphone or computer. If unable to do this, a parent/guardian can send an email to mhsdismissals@carver.org. Students who are not feeling well should be reporting to the nurse and dismissed through our nurses office at door #3. If a student is returning to school after being dismissed they should be checking back in with the main office and providing the proper paperwork to excuse their dismissal.
TARDY TO SCHOOL
A student will be considered tardy to school if they arrive in the building and/or homeroom after 7:25 A.M. Administration will monitor student tardy issues on a regular basis. An additional office detention will be issued for every subsequent fifth tardy during the same term. Excused tardiness is limited to documented medical appointments
