The Carver Public Schools’ Preschool Program, located at the Carver Elementary School, will be begin scheduling appointments on Monday, September 18, 2017, for screenings for role model slots for the 2017-2018 school year. Screenings will be held on Friday, September 29 and Friday, October 20 between 12:30 and 2:00.
A screening is required for acceptance into the program. Children considered are those who do not currently receive special education services and are not in need of special education services. Applicants are expected to demonstrate age appropriate skills (within 6 months) in the areas of speech and language, cognitive/school readiness, fine and gross motor development, and social/emotional and behavioral development. In addition, a child must have been at least 3 years of age by September 1, 2017 and toilet trained.
