END OF YEAR CELEBRATION

We hope that you are all having a great start to the month of June.  We are so sorry to do this to each of you but we are going to need to move our student-athlete celebration to Monday June 12, 2023 during the same time period.  We are moving this due to the fact we have two teams still left in the MIAA state tournament and one of them will play on Monday evening.  We have rescheduled everything with the teachers that have offered to help run events during the event and all of the vendors.  We are hoping that you will be able to join us in celebrating your seasons and your student athletes.   We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Class of 2023 Graduation Update

Due to tomorrow’s weather forecast, the decision has been made to host the graduation ceremony indoors.  While I recognize this is not our preferred choice of venue, we believe it is best to hold the ceremony indoors.

Each senior student has been provided six tickets for admission.  Please be sure to bring your ticket with you to enter the CMHS Auditorium.  The ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM. Doors will open at 9:00 AM.  Reporting time for Graduating Seniors is 9:15 AM in the high school cafeteria.

The Graduation Ceremony will be broadcast live on Area58_Carver  YouTube channel and on the Area 58 Cable Station.  We will be live streaming the ceremony in the CMHS library for guests who do not have a ticket and prefer to watch the event on campus.

Thank you for understanding.

Athletic Update – Information for Todays Baseball & Softball Games

Hello Everyone,

We are extremely excited for today’s MIAA State Tournament baseball and softball games here at Carver Middle High School. As we continue to keep an eye to the sky for the possible inclement weather coming in, we wanted to share our safety plan for today in case we are delayed due to storms.

In the event of a delay, we will evacuate our student-athletes, officials, and coaches to the Carver Middle High School Gym. The teams will stay in the gym as long as we are in a delay. We ask that families and spectators wait out any delay in their personal vehicle. As an emergency shelter, we will offer the main lobby of the gymnasium to anyone that does not have shelter.

Just as a reminder if we are in a delay due to thunder or lightning the process is extremely simple. We evacuate the fields and we will set up a spot indoors for coaches and officials to wait the delay out. The rule for the delay is each time you hear thunder or see a lightning flash we must delay the game restart process by 30 minutes. This restart time will need to be reset each time we hear thunder or see lightning.

In the case of a situation where we deem the fields unplayable after any sort of rain, we will work on a restart date and have one prior to the teams leaving the property. We can assure each of you it will not be on Saturday.

Also, in order to assist each of you with the planning in the future:

  • The winner of today’s baseball game will travel to Douglas on Monday to play Douglas HS.
  • The winner of the softball game will travel to Williamstown, MA to play Mount Greylock Regional HS.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions.

Go Crusaders!
Thank you,

Sean McInnis

State Tournament Details and Athletic Updates

Crusader Nation,

As we come to the close of the Spring athletic season it can only mean one thing, the MIAA State Tournament is now upon us. It is at times like this I know that words can not express how thankful I am to have had the opportunity to be the interim athletic director for the last few months here at Carver.  I know that we are all going to finish our athletic and academic season strong clicking on all cylinders.  One thing this position has taught me is that the Carver community has so much pride in their athletic programs and their schools that make up this great school district.

As we prepare for the closing of another outstanding spring athletics season, we wanted to inform everyone of two big announcements to keep in mind for this week:

  • We want to congratulate Camren Allain for winning the MIAA State Title in the high jump this past weekend. This weekend Camren will be representing the Carver community as he competes in the MIAA all state meet.  Good Luck Cam!
  • The MIAA state tournament for baseball and softball will be in full swing starting this Friday.   We invite you to come down to our campus and enjoy some great weather and support a group of hard working student-athletes and coaches as they represent Carver!  Below is the information for both the softball and baseball teams

    Friday June 2, 2023
    Baseball
#40 Avon Middle High School vs #25 Carver Middle High School
    3:00 PM first pitch

    Softball
