Trunk or Treat Photo Share!

As a reminder: Halloween falls this year on Thursday, October 31, 2024. While costumes are fun, they can be distracting and disrupt student learning. We kindly request that families avoid sending their children to school in Halloween costumes.  If families choose, they may have their children wear orange or black.

The PTO Annual Trunk or Treat is an after-school event where costumes are welcome and we saw some great costumes and we would like to share with the community!  If you would like to share your photos from Trunk or Treat we would love to share them on Halloween – you can do so by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/CESTrunkorTreat24
We will be collecting responses until the end of the day on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Many thanks to the CES PTO and all the volunteers who made the annual trunk or treat community event such a success!

TRY IT TUESDAY
at Carver Elementary School

We are excited to announce that we will be continuing our Try it Tuesday event again this year in the cafeteria where we will be offering samples of fruits, vegetables or seafood. This year our goal is to introduce more varieties of seafood, plant based and culturally responsive foods.

This month’s Try it Tuesday will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. As we look to create recipes with more plant based items, I am excited to introduce Kelp meatballs to our students. Chef Andrew from North Coast Seafoods will be visiting us to talk to the students about the health benefits of kelp meatballs. Encourage your student to try our kelp meatballs at our Try it Tuesday table in the cafeteria and help us move towards greater food acceptance skills.

I have attached a link to a documentary of Meet the Kelp Farmers at Atlantic Sea Farms. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbTYbXN9qIc
