NEWS Updates:

Carver Middle High School to receive national recognition from Special Olympics for achievements with inclusion

Special Olympics MA has announced that Carver Middle High School, a Special Olympics Unified Champion School, is receiving national banner recognition Special Olympics International for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without disabilities.  Carver Middle High School is 1 of only 12 schools in Massachusetts and among 164 schools nationwide to achieve this status for the 2021-22 school year.

The following was shared from the Special Olympics board in a letter to the Middle High School: “The school has successfully achieved national standards of excellence in the areas of inclusion, advocacy and respect! The athletes, partners, students, coaches, volunteers, teachers, staff and administration at Carver Middle High School have all played key roles in creating a social climate where everyone feels included and respected for who they are.  We are honored to have such a strong and fully inclusive school as yours be recognized a second time for the hard work and dedication you demonstrate daily to continuously grow and strengthen your program.  Your school and leadership team are a model for other schools, and we look forward to new heights you will reach tomorrow and in years to come!”

Congratulations to our Unified Teams, students and staff on his incredible honor.

Back to School Information

We are excited to begin another great year at Carver Public Schools on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.   Please note the following resources that are always available to you with information for the 2022-2023 school year for our Carver Elementary Coyotes and Carver Middle High School Crusaders.

Grade 8 Student Schedules

Dear 8th Grade Students,

I hope that you have had an enjoyable summer and are ready for our school year to begin.

In Aspen, you will find a tentative class schedule. Please review your schedule to make sure that it is accurate and complete. Also, due to the nature of our schedule, requests to change classes may not be possible.

When reviewing your schedule, please look for the following:

You have a class in each subject area – Math, English, Science, History and possibly a World Language. Enrolling in Spanish or French in the 8th grade is not required.
You have been assigned to allied arts classes.  Please note: Students in grades 6-8 are provided with an opportunity to explore a variety of allied arts before entering high school. Allied arts are not considered electives in middle school, therefore students are unable to select their allied arts courses.

You have a class scheduled during each block (A, B, C, D, E, F & G)
Please understand that you may be switched into different sections of classes before the start of school if classes need to be balanced, but your courses will remain the same. This may, however, result in a teacher change.

I will be making changes to the schedules until the start of school so it is important that you follow the schedule that is provided to you on the first day of school.

If you have any questions regarding your schedule, please contact me [winslowp@carver.org or 508-866-6195] before the year begins.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Thank you,
Mrs. Winslow
