PreK Role Model/Typical Peers 2022-2023
The Carver Public Schools’ Preschool Program, located at the Carver Elementary School, is currently scheduling peer model screening appointments for the 2022-2023 school year.
A screening is required for acceptance into the program. Children considered are those who do not currently receive special education services and are not in need of special education services. Applicants are expected to demonstrate age appropriate skills (within 6 months) in the areas of speech and language, cognitive/school readiness, fine and gross motor development, and social/emotional and behavioral development. In addition, a child must be at least 3 years of age by September 1, 2022 and toilet trained. They must also be a resident of Carver and families must provide transportation to and from the program. Those children found eligible will be entered into a lottery. Appropriate peer model students who are not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. Please note that slots are limited.
This is a fee based program for peer model students. The fee for each half day session is $12.00. We currently offer 2, 3, and 4 day half day preschool options.
If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact the Carver Elementary School Office at (508) 866-6210.

We have had a significant increase in COVID-19 cases over the past week, especially at the MHS. Below is a link to the COVID-19 dashboard that was updated at the end of the day yesterday. We want to remind the school community of the key COVID-19 protocols during this current rise in cases.
COVID-19 Dashboard – https://carver.org/covid/
Key Message – Stay Home When Sick
Individuals presenting with the COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and not return to school until:
Protocol for an Individual who Tests Positive for COVID-19:
A positive person may return to school or work after 5 days once they have:
Been without fever for 24 hours (and without taking fever-reducing medications); and
Experienced improvement in other symptoms.
A positive person should not return to school or work until they have met the above criteria.
Following the five day isolation period it is required that the positive individual wears a mask for five additional days when around others other than when eating, drinking or outside. The individual will no longer be required to wear a mask once they are 10 days from symptom onset or after a positive test, if asymptomatic.
Please report any positive test results to your school nurse:
