NEWS & UPDATES

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has selected the Carver Public Schools to participate in a targeted district review. The purpose of the district review is to provide formative and actionable feedback on district practices, enabling district leaders to reflect on progress and strengthen staff and student performance. Representatives will be onsite at both Carver Elementary School and Carver Middle High School the week of February 24h as part of the review. In addition, parent/guardians can play a role in this review by attending an online parent forum on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:00p.

There will be a budget presentation at the upcoming School Committee meeting on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 at 6:00p at Carver Middle High School.

For your planning, the public hearing of the budget will be at the following meeting on February 24. The meeting agenda and more can be found on the School Committee page through the main menu or by clicking here

Unfortunately, Friday’s Chocolate Social is postponed. We will notify everyone of a new date. Social money will be returned during Period 4 on Thursday, February 6.

Dana Farber Donations
January 27-February 3, 2025
Sponsored by the CMHS Student Council
Collecting new donated items for Dana Farber Patients to be put into multiple “Care Baskets” in hopes that it will provide joy and comfort for the patients during their cancer treatment. PLEASE see the suggested list below, and again only new and packaged items.
- lotions with no scent
- crossword or other puzzle books
- tissues
- fuzzy socks
- blankets
- warm hats (winter caps)
- refillable water bottles
- card games
- gas gift cards (to cover travel costs to treatments)
Donations can be brought into school by students (Grades 6-12) or dropped off by any family or community members. Either brought to the main office or given to Mr. Tresca.

Students in grades 10-12 can earn community service hours towards their graduation requirement. Be sure to bring these items directly to Mr. Tresca so he can “sign off” as the adult supervisor.
