Coyote Excellence
APRIL 2024
The Coyote Video Club is busy recording and filming their 180 Morning Announcements and other projects.
Students in grades K-5 apply their coding skills to robotics. Students in grades K-1 use Code & Go Mice. Students in second grade use Ozobot Bit line reading robots. Students in grades 3-5 work on tiered Lego Spike Essential activities.
Thank you to Carver Elementary students who shared their “Change Sings” song and thoughts with us and to Ms. Krampf for putting this all together for our students and community!

FEBRUARY 2024
All School Morning Meeting celebrating Black History Month- Student presenters acknowledged achievements. Fifth-grade students presented their biography projects. Finding Nemo cast performed a few numbers. Students won the Cup Stacking Challenge students versus the teachers.
JANUARY 2024
Third Grade Kids Who Code Session 2 are busy creating and coding original games using Scratch.
Winter Concert- school day performances by the CES Band and Chorus.
Miss Simmons and Mrs. Swanton’s classes took a virtually “hiking” the Appalachian Trail. They went on a “hiking” field trip on the school trail to the fire department to simulate a hike up Clingman’s Dome in North Carolina. This is the highest point on the Appalachian Trail, a 2,200-mile continuous footpath. It goes from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. Many thanks to the Carver Fire Department for their assistance in this fun learning experience for our students!
