ALICE Training for Parents 10/26/16
On Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6:30pm-8:30pm, Carver Middle School staff, along with local law enforcement, will be conducting and ALICE presentation. This will take place in the auditorium. Please see the information letter mailed home.
Please Note: Children will not be permitted to sit in during the presentation or take part in the demonstration. Free childcare will be offered by the Carver Middle High School National Honor Society.

Bridge Design Finalists
Congratulations to Kyle Rizutto and Holly Lauzon who competed in the Engineering Encounters National Finals on Thursday May 26th, placing 21st out of 57 teams. They had 2 hours to design and test a virtual bridge.
The duo was 19th in the nation and third in the state after the qualifying round out of 8,811 registered teams. This was the third year for these two competing in the Nationals and first year making it to the finals!
Cranberry Village Crew
On Saturday April 30th, eleven CMHS students participated in a Spring- Cleanup project at Cranberry Village in Carver as part of their community service requirement. The students raked and cleaned up the area around the Clubhouse and were treated to breakfast by the appreciative residents.

Carver students have now volunteered at a number of clean-ups and fundraisers organized by Helping Hands—a group led by Pat Henderson that serves the residents of Cranberry Village. Students who would like to volunteer at Helping Hand’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser, June 25th should contact Mr. Lamoureux.

For your planning purposes…..Please note the 2016-2017 previously approved calendar has been revised with the following. Elementary School Early Release day in March 2017 has been changed from Wednesday 3/15 to Thursday, 3/16/2017.

Water Testing Results
Based on the last round of sampling of 20 water taps in our school 4 exceeded the Massachusetts and Federal levels for lead content. The maximum level permitted is .015 milligrams per liter. The four taps above the level tested at .017, .027, .036 and .021 milligrams per liter respectively. To protect our students and staff have taken appropriate precautions. Please see the attached document for additional information. This letter was sent home with students Wednesday February 3, 2016
