Senior Athlete Photos Friday 9/13

Hello Senior Athletes, Fall Coaches and Families,

Congratulations on the start of your Fall seasons!  We are all excited to watch, support and cheer on your teams/athletes as they represent the Carver Crusaders this Fall!!! As some of you may know the Crusader Athletic Booster Club has decided to continue supporting a gift to all Senior athletes!  We’ve elected to continue our partnership with Jennifer McAloney for our posters (click on this link for a sample of the finished product, Engagement – Jennifer McAloney Photography).  These posters will be available to give to the athletes on Senior night for each sport.

The photographer will be on-site to take photos this Friday, September 13th at approximately 1:30-2pm and be ready to photograph the athletes immediately following school.  Students will be in full uniform for all photographs.

WHAT IS OUR ASK OF ALL ATHLETES and COACHES?
1) Please inform your Seniors of this photoshoot on Friday, September 13th at 2:05pm.

2) Please ensure they will have their full game uniforms for the photoshoot. Athlete uniforms must match!  Please coordinate with your Captains on the appropriate color scheme for the photos.  FOOTBALL MUST WEAR MAROON PANTS, THEY CAN CHOOSE EITHER SHIRT BUT MUST ALL MATCH!

3) Please let me know if any of your Senior athletes will be unavailable for the photoshoot on Sep 13th.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  We’d like to THANK YOU in advance for your cooperation and consideration as we attempt to execute on this project for our athletes!

Thank you,

Adam Holmes
Carver Boosters President

Fall Sports Update from the Athletic Director

My name is Kelsey Kincade and I was recently appointed as the Athletic Director of Carver Middle High School. I have been working in the field of high school athletics for 8 years and look forward to being a part of the Carver community and working with all of the amazing student athletes.

First, I would like to introduce our new Fall Coaches:

Head Football Coach: Chris Pabst
Assistant Football Coach: Mark Hannon
Assistant Football Coach: Jimmy Bastille
Assistant Football Coach: Jimmy Haskell
Head Field Hockey Coach: Kayla Hartley
JV Field Hockey Coach: Sean McInnis
Head Cross Country Coach: Molly Travers
Assistant Cross Country Coach: Laicey Ieronimo

I wanted to send out a reminder and invite you to our 2024 Fall Meet the Coaches Night. This event will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00pm in the Carver Middle High School Auditorium.  Student-Athletes and Parents/Guardians who are registered for a fall sport are strongly encouraged to attend. During the evening, we will review athletic department policies and other important information. Following the athletic director presentation, students and their parents/guardians will break out and meet with their coaches for their individual team meeting. Head coaches will go over additional team rules, schedules and expectations for their program.

We ask that you please review and complete all of the steps below if you are planning on participating in a fall sport:

  1. The easiest way to register your child for a sport is to click on the “Sports Registration” tab located on the front page of our athletics page at www.carver.org/athletics. Register in FamilyID Portal – Click Here to register by Monday August 12, 2024 for all sports.  Coaches will have access to all student-athletes looking to participate in their sport once the registration in FamilyID is completed.  If not registered by the above date we can not guarantee that you will receive clearance for the first day of tryouts.
  2. A current physical (new or on file) from within the last 13 months.  REMINDER: a physical may expire during the season, we will need a new physical to keep your student eligible.  Physicals must be submitted to Karen Showan at the High School Nurse’s Office either in paper form or you can scan the physical and send it to Athletic Director Kelsey Kincade kincadek@carver.org. We will reach out to any student-athlete that has a missing or expired physical.
  3. Current or updated IMPACT test must be on file.  The Impact tests are good for 2 years from the date of taking the test.
  4. Any outstanding uniform issue or any user fee still outstanding from 2023-2024 season must be paid in full.  If your uniform is missing, you will not be able to tryout for a sport in the 2024– 2025 academic season until the uniform is turned in or has been paid for.
  5. All User Fees must be paid in full or arranged for with the Athletic Office prior to tryouts. If a student-athlete does not make a team or decides not to play a fall sport we will process a refund.  If you would like to submit a check for payment please submit checks payable to Carver Athletics and can be sent to the High School Main Office

We will be offering impact testing for all students that need to complete the testing.  Please watch for an email from our trainer in the next week or so if you are missing your impact test or you need to take one for fall sports.  Our Trainer’s email will review the process on how to handle the impact testing for anyone that needs to complete this.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRYOUT IF THEY HAVE NOT COMPLETED ALL 5 STEPS ABOVE
