On December 20th 15 Carver Middle High School students traveled to Marion, Massachusetts in order to participate in a Habitat for Humanity building project as part of their community service graduation requirement. Habitat for Humanity provides affordable housing for low income families worldwide and relies on the services of volunteers to complete their mission which has provided thousands of homes to deserving families for over 30 years. Participants included; Morgan Brown, Mary Chisholm, Matt Cotter, Clay Drew, Jessica Foster, Nicole Jankowski, Shawn Kelly, Rylie Lagerquist, Isabella Matterazzo, Ashley McInnis, Skylar McSweeney, Scott Parziale, Morgan Tumminelli, Noel Walton, and Brigette Wheeler under the direction of their American History teacher Thomas McLean.

On October 22, 2015, the following was posted to recruit a new Carver Middle High School Principal to begin when Scott Knief becomes the Superintendent in 2016: Visionary Leader needed to work with a highly qualified staff, an engaged student body, and a supportive community. The Superintendent received 32 applications for this position. Principal Scott Knief and Superintendent Elizabeth Sorrell selected 7 semi-finalist for interviews. After two days of interviews with a representative selection committee, two finalists were selected: Janelle Clarke-Holley and Laura Stevenson. Please click on the links to read the press release.
Special Ed Parent Advisory Council Meeting

Elementary School Building Search
On Monday, October 26th, the Carver Police, in conjunction with the State Police and Plymouth County Sherriff’s K-9 units; conducted a search of the entire Elementary School facility and grounds and no intruder was found. The search was based upon a report by a teacher that she had seen an unknown person enter the building prior to the start of school. The Carver Public Schools and Carver Police are dedicated to ensuring a safety of all of our students and staff.
