Tiered Focused Monitoring Information

PSATs: Tuesday, January 26, 2021

Big picture

Attention students who are taking the PSAT on Tuesday, January 26th at Carver High School:

It is important that you arrive at the building by 7:20 a.m. as we plan to begin the pre-administration process at 7:30. You will report directly to the Middle School gym, where the testing will take place, unless you have been told to go to an alternative location.

On the day of the exam, you must bring 2 sharpened pencils (must be #2 pencils and can’t be mechanical) and a calculator. You can borrow a calculator from the math department, but please make arrangements prior to the exam. Calculators will not be available on the testing day. Please note that the exam was designed to be achieved without the use of a calculator, it just may take longer for some of the calculations.

Please know that we will be following all COVID safety guidelines and protocols that include mask breaks and social distancing. Remember that this is a practice exam meant to prepare you for the SAT and also provide you with the opportunity to qualify for college scholarships.

There is no need to be stressed or overwhelmed, just try your best! Good Luck!
