NEWS & UPDATES

  • UPDATED BUS ROUTES EFFECTIVE 3/4/2024
Starting on Monday, March 4, the Carver Public Schools will be updating the majority of its bus routes.  While not every route is slated to change, many will.  Please check out the link below to view your student’s new bus number and time. This update is being done to maximize route efficiency due to a shortage of bus drivers in the area.  Please note that your student’s physical bus stop will not change, only the bus number that picks up at that stop.  In addition, no changes will be made to special education or pre-school transportation routes.
The transportation department will also be coordinating efforts with the Carver Elementary Team to ensure that any of our youngest riders experiencing a bus change are prepared for it well in advance. This communication will proactively go out to the school community multiple times over the coming weeks as a reminder.  If you have any questions, please contact Carver Public Schools Transportation at:  508.866.9627 or email at [email protected]

We strongly encourage parents/guardians to make appointments with one or all of the individual student’s teachers, the student’s guidance counselor, and/or the assistant principal or principal. This is a good opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school. You may simply want to connect with your student’s teacher to gain insight into the school day. You may want to address a concern or want to celebrate an achievement in a particular subject area. Please take advantage of this time to have some quiet conversation with our faculty and staff. As always, please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions or are having any trouble scheduling online.

We will also reinstate a Schoolwide Reading and Writing Assessment for students in grades 6 – 8.  The reading and writing assessment will not be factored into students’ term or overall grade.  These assessments increase academic rigor and best prepare our students to take formative, cumulative tests.  These assessments were traditionally practiced at CMHS but as in many school districts were lost between the March 2020 – 2023 school years.  We look forward to bringing back these academic assessments and are confident our students will meet these challenging expectations.Click here for the  2023-2024 Mid Term Exam schedule
