They’re off to see the Wizard at Carver Elementary!

The day is finally here when the Carver Elementary Drama Club will present: The Wizard of Oz the Musical, Thursday and Friday, March 19-20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Carver Elementary with a special student only performance for all grade levels on Thursday, March 19 at 9:00 a.m.

Calling Elementary Families

The parent placement input survey was sent out to families last week for students in PreK-Grade 4. Check your email or SchoolStatus Connect for more information.


Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up soon at CES!

These conferences will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm.  – and plan to visit the CES PTO’s Spring Book fair while you are there! Your child’s teacher is eager to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress and share important insights about their daily work. You will hear from your child’s teacher soon regarding scheduling a conference.

As you prepare for this meeting, please take a moment to jot down any questions or concerns you may have to ensure you make the most of this valuable time.  You are welcome to bring your child to the school during conferences; they can sit in the hallway and catch up on some reading.


Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year! Do you have a child ready to start Kindergarten?  Will they be 5 years old on or before 9/1/25?

Please visit https://carver.org/carver-elementary-school/new-student-registration-information/ for instructions on how to proceed with our online registration process in Aspen.

Administration is asking parents/guardians to register as soon as possible to get an accurate idea of how many students we will welcome this year.If your student currently attends the Preschool Program at Carver Elementary School, you have already registered in Aspen.   You will be contacted to set up a registration appointment.

Once the online registration is complete, you will be contacted to make an appointment for Kindergarten Screening.

CMHS Culinary Team
Congratulations to the CMHS Culinary Team of Colin Ohara, Matt Boutiette, Adam Daoud, Kaiden Freitas, and Josh Lentonen under the direction of teacher Chef Dan Portelance who took third place at the recent ProStart State Culinary Competition a win for the talented, hardworking members of the team and adding another feather in the cap for the long time award winning Culinary program!


Student Council

Congratulations to the Student Council who was named a Gold Council of Excellence  under the leadership of Christopher Tresca for the 14th consecutive year in a row and also to the following Student Council members for being recognized at the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils (MASC) annual state conference last week:
  • Commonwealth Award for Outstanding School Spirit:
    Brian Ginnetty, Chelsea Donovan and Adrianna McTernan
  • Unsung Hero Award for Hard Work and Commitment:
    Devyn Mullen
  • MASC Vice Presidential Candidate:

As part of the conference, the council also raised over $1,600 for charity and participated in the annual the polar plunge.


Athletic Excellence

Congratulations to Hazel Butterworth for qualifying for the national level of competition at the New Balance Middle School nationals last week! Hazel came in 20th out of 83 competitors!
As a 7th grader, what an amazing start to her track career at Carver Middle High School!


 

Congratulations to Girls Indoor Track and Field Team who were named South Shore League Champions for the 2025-2026 Winter Season!
