New Mask Protocols and Upcoming Events

On February 9, 2022, Governor Baker and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Commissioner Jeff Riley, announced that the statewide mask mandate will be lifted as of February 28, 2022.  On February 14, 2022 the Carver School Committee voted to make wearing a mask during the school day and at Carver Public School events optional for staff, students, and families once the mask mandate has been lifted as of February 28, 2022.

The wearing of masks are still required on school buses and in the nurses’ offices per federal and state guidelines.  The School Committee also voted to require masks for individuals who test positive for COVID-19 who are returning to school after 5 days of isolation as outlined in the “Protocols for Responding to COVID-19 Scenarios”, which I have attached for your review.

Carver Public Schools: Protocols for Responding to COVID-19 Scenarios – updated 2-15-2022

As a reminder, the district is providing students who opt-in with at-home rapid antigen COVID-19 tests on a weekly basis through April 22, 2022.  Participation in the program is voluntary, though we do encourage families to participate.  It is not too late to opt-in.  If you have not already signed-up to receive a weekly at-home test, but would like to participate in the program please complete the following form: https://forms.gle/GFLxCfemmWQv8WSj6
