Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up this week at CES!

These conferences will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm.  – and plan to visit the CES PTO’s Spring Book fair while you are there! Your child’s teacher is eager to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress and share important insights about their daily work. You will hear from your child’s teacher soon regarding scheduling a conference.

As you prepare for this meeting, please take a moment to jot down any questions or concerns you may have to ensure you make the most of this valuable time.  You are welcome to bring your child to the school during conferences; they can sit in the hallway and catch up on some reading.


Literacy Week at Carver Elementary School!

Although we celebrate reading all year at CES, in honor of National Reading Month in March, CES will be hosting a variety of exciting reading events during the week of March 23rd!

These activities are optional for your students/classrooms to participate. Check out the fun activities below:

Throughout the Week :
Throughout the month students will have an opportunity to book shop and take books home to keep.

March 23rd and 24th: Author Visit
DawnMarie Capone Anzalone, author of “Lucy’s New Bedroom” will be visiting grades 1-4 to read her books and to discuss the process of writing and publishing her books.

March 25th: Family Friendly Evening Event:
March 25th, 5pm-6pm: Family evening event for PreK-Grade 2 families! Please join us for The Art of Storytelling with Ryan Racette. The event will be held in the CES Multi-Purpose Room. If you have trouble signing up, please email Kate Moore, CES Literacy Coach at moorek@carver.org

March 26th: Community Reader’s Day
Community Readers will be welcomed into classrooms during specific times on March 26th. The theme of the books will follow our schoolwide theme: “Strength in Community”

March 27th: Friday Flashlight Reading
Finish Reading Month with Flashlight Reading! Have your child bring in a flashlight to use in their classroom so that they can read in a cozy spot with the lights out in their classroom during independent reading.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year! Do you have a child ready to start Kindergarten?  Will they be 5 years old on or before 9/1/25?

Please visit https://carver.org/carver-elementary-school/new-student-registration-information/ for instructions on how to proceed with our online registration process in Aspen.

Administration is asking parents/guardians to register as soon as possible to get an accurate idea of how many students we will welcome this year.If your student currently attends the Preschool Program at Carver Elementary School, you have already registered in Aspen.   You will be contacted to set up a registration appointment.

Once the online registration is complete, you will be contacted to make an appointment for Kindergarten Screening.

Middle High School staff was surprised with a sweet treat last week following the Parent Teacher Conferences thanking them for their work!

 


Athletic Excellence

Congratulations to these outstanding Crusader athletes named South Shore League All Stars including Coleson Tully and Hazel Butterworth who were both named Player of the Year and to Levon Mulready and Sophia Tibbetts who were awarded with South Shore League Scholar Athlete Awards at a ceremony this week.

Levon was also selected to participate in the Massachusetts Hockey Coaches Association Senior All Star Game last Sunday in Worcester as one of eight defenseman selected across the state, regardless of division to participate!
