Crusader Athletes of the Week: November 6, 2025

ALANA BURBINE
Alana has been a strong and reliable defender all season, always holding her ground and making smart plays under pressure. She played an especially impressive game during our state tournament, showing confidence and determination. Off the field, Alana is an excellent student who brings the same focus and work ethic to the classroom as she does to the game.

TEAGAN ZAKRZEWSKI
Senior captain, running back, and linebacker Teagan Zakrzewski has been a dominant two-way player for Carver Football. His toughness, effort, and leadership set the tone for the entire team. Whether powering through defenders on offense or making key stops on defense, Teagan’s consistency and drive make him a well-deserved Athlete of the Week.

Middle School Drama Presents: Shrek the Musical

November 7-8, 2025  |  7 p.m.
Carver Middle High School Auditorium
$10 general admission  | $5 students/seniors

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical KIDS, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance.  Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Middle School Diversity Awareness

On the early release day on October 23, 2025 Grade 6 students were invited to take a walk in someone else’s shoes as they rotated through various classroom spaces for the morning.  Students in sessions hosted by special education teachers and counselors learned what it was like to live with disabilities ranging from blindness, deaf and hard of hearing and physical impairments to dyslexia, autism and ADHD. We believe increasing awareness through these experiences help to make our school environment a more inclusive space for all students.

Halloween Fun!

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who helped to make our Halloween Friday such a fun time!  Halloween colors were on display at the elementary school complete with a pumpkin parade and teachers at CMHS got into the Halloween spirit with their costumes.  Later that day Grades 6-8 had a great time at their Halloween Social and the Annual PTO Trunk or Treat was a huge success!  Here’s to many more great days at Carver Schools!

HUNTER THOMAS
Hunter works tirelessly as one of our starting outside midfielders who constantly is running box to box.  He has to work on both ends of the field by defending for us, and then creating offense on the opposite end.  This week he was able to secure a hat-trick for us and put in a solid all around performance to help us get the win.

COLIN EAKINS
Colin Eakins on Friday night had 8 catches, 156 yards receiving and 2 touchdown receptions while also having 7 carries and 35 yards rushing on the ground. In the last 4 games he has 27 catches, 534 yards receiving and 5 touchdown catches. Whether making key catches on offense or locking down opponents on defense, he continues to be a dependable leader and competitor every week.
