Crusader Athletes of the Week: October 9, 2025

Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week:

CHARLES DONOVAN – Golf

Charlie has shown great leadership this season. His play helped the Crusaders to win 4 of their final 5 matches to close the season. Charlie was low medalist in the final match of the season vs. Rising Tide. He also improved his average by 3.4 strokes per round from the previous season.

CHARLOTTE ROGERS – Soccer
Freshman defender Charlotte Roger’s relentless effort and outstanding defensive play has earned her Athlete of the Week. While defenders don’t always show up on the state sheet, Charlotte constantly shuts down opponents, protects her keeper, and controls her side of the field with confidence and toughness.

RILEY JENKINS – Volleyball
Riley has been playing since 8th grade.  Riley is absolutely essential for our offense. She can read the court seamlessly and know where and when to put the ball where it needs to be. This week, Riley led by example with outstanding plays, smart decisions, and relentless effort.

NATHANIEL TYLER – Cross Country
Nathaniel Tyler had a breakout week for the cross country team. He ran a Freshman record-tying 17:56 at the Bay State Invitational over the weekend, showing his speed and determination against competition. On Tuesday, Nathaniel followed up with a strong performance, winning the boys’ race in Cohasset. Nathaniel’s hard work and success earn him recognition of this week’s Athlete of the week.

Athletic Banner Project

Athletic Banner Project

At the end of last year, a team of administrators, coaches, former coaches, and a member of the Athletic Boosters met to consider redesigning and updating the athletic banners in the High School gym.  Mrs. Kincade reviewed their proposal at the recent school committee meeting on September 29, 2025.

The 4 main reasons for the projects is to:

  • Create consistency in the look of the banners;
  • Create consistency on what recognitions have a banner as there has been an inconsistency in what has been recognized over the years;
  • In alignment with consistency, address the concern that several sports were looking to add individual accomplishment banners since some sports have them and some do not; and
  • Some banners could benefit from an upgrade.

All individual state championships will still have a banner.  All individual sports accomplishments (i.e. 1000 points) will be on a plaque that will be displayed in the athletic lobby.  Any name recognized on the current banners will be displayed either on new banners or on plaques displayed in the lobby.

Please click here to view all of the new proposed banners and plaques.

In order to give the community the opportunity for questions, the school committee will not vote to approve the new proposed banners until their next meeting on October 20, 2025.

Please address any questions to Superintendent, Scott Knief at KniefS@carver.org

CALLIE COELHO – Field Hockey
Callie is a versatile and hardworking midfielder who is always ready to step into any position the team needs.  Whether she’s playing her usual position or fulling in wherever she’s needed, she gives it her all every time she hits the field.  Callie has created key scoring opportunities on the attack and has also been a steady presence on defense, making smart plays to shut down the other team.  Callie’s  all in for her team and it shows every dame.

2025-2026: Welcome Back from the Crusader Athletic Booster Club

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year! As we begin another athletic season at Carver Middle High School, we are excited to introduce you to the Crusader Athletic Booster Club (CABC).

The CABC is a volunteer group of parents and community members dedicated to supporting our school’s athletic teams through donations of time and funds. We help enhance the student-athlete experience beyond the school district’s budget, including providing scholarships for graduating seniors.

This Year’s Fundraising Efforts:
In the past, we requested a $10 donation from each athlete. This year, we’re asking the Crusader community to support CABC by volunteering time, donating raffle prizes, or making monetary contributions.

Ways You Can Help:

  • Volunteer Your Time: Join us at our monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the school library, or sign up to work the concession stands during sporting events. You can sign up to help work the Football or Volleyball Concession Stand using this Sign-Up Genius Link.
  • Donate Raffle Prizes: We always need prizes for our Fall Social, Calendar Raffle, Golf Tournament, and other events. Consider donating items like tickets to professional sporting events, gift cards, weekend getaways, or electronics.
  • Make a Monetary Donation: As a non-profit, we accept donations throughout the year. Our Tax ID number is 04-3213882. You can mail a check to the address above or use our Venmo account @CrusaderBoosters. If you have an athlete, we encourage you to donate to the Booster Club. Any amount is appreciated.

How Your Support Helps:
Thanks to our community’s generous support, CABC provided:

  • A HUDL Camera and subscription for the gymnasium and turf field
  • Senior Athlete posters and pictures
  • Indoor batting cages for baseball and softball
  • Turtle Backstop for Baseball
  • Training Bands for Indoor Track
  • Team roster posters and QR codes
