Crusader Athletes of the Week: January 21, 2026

BRANDON FRATES – Boys Basketball
Brandon followed up a career high 15 points vs Sturgis with 11 points vs Randolph. Including the game tying 3 pointer to send the game to OT, then the game winner in OT. Brandon continues his hard work from the off season and is starting to see results at the varsity level. Brandon is also a nominee for the Patriot Ledger Athlete of the Week!

LEVON MULREADY – Boys Ice Hockey
Levon has been a driving force for our team this season, serving as our captain and setting the standard every time he steps on the ice. His leadership is evident in both his work ethic and his relentless desire to win, which has become contagious throughout the locker room. He truly embodies our team mantra of “add to the dash,” consistently adding to the legacy of excellence within our program through his leadership and competitive spirit. Through the first 8 games, he has tallied 4 goals and 9 assists for 13 points. Defensively, his commitment is just as strong, as he is averaging over one blocked shot per game and sacrificing his body to help the team succeed.

Crusader Athletes of the Week: January 16, 2026

       

COLESON TULLY – Wrestling
Coleson Tully, senior captain of the wrestling team, is a four time sectional finalist, four time league all star, Patriot Ledger All Scholastic, Marshfield Holiday Champion and OW, and 2025 State Champ. As of Saturday 1.10.26, he now holds the Carver MHS record for most career wins surpassing a 25 year old record of 177. And the season is far from over!

HAZEL BUTTERWORTH – Track and Field
Hazel has broken a school record for the 2 mile with a time of 11m 57s and the 600m with a time of 1m 46.75s. Hazel has qualified for states in the 2 mile and 1 mile. She also earned First Team Patriot Ledger All Scholastic of XC. Hazel continues to have an outstanding and record breaking year!

JAKE HOLDEN – Track and Field
Jake broke the school record for the 600m and qualified for states in the 600m time of 1 min 26.3 seconds. At Mercury games, Jake placed 2nd out of 30 in the 600m. Jake set a PR in the 1000 this season as well. Jake continues to lead by example and improve each week!

Crusader Athletes of the Week: January 9, 2025

      

AARON REED
Aaron opened the season with an impressive start, going undefeated for the first 7 matches of the season and winning most by pin. Aaron was the 150lb Champion of the Sandwich Earlybird Tournament and was named Outstanding Wrestler. Now, just a month into the season, he maintains an impressive 16-1 record and has captured another tournament championship title at 150lbs in Whitman Hanson.

JOSIE HELMS
Josie Helms has been named Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance and leadership on the court. A sophomore starter, Josie has stepped into a key role this season. Most recently, she had a standout game against Leominster, finishing with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, helping drive the team’s success. Josie’s impact goes beyond the stat sheet, as she continues to set the tone for her teammates and elevate the team’s play.

 

Winter Sports Picture Day – Fri. December 19, 2025

Lifetouch will be set up at the High School Cafeteria and will be taking pictures of our winter teams, seniors & captains, as well as anyone wanting an individual picture.

Here is the schedule for the day below:

2:35pm Boys V Basketball

2:50 pm Girls JV Basketball

3:00pm Girls V Basketball

3:20 pm Wrestling

3:40 pm Track & Field

Student-Athletes: Student-athletes, please make sure that you are dressed in your complete “home” game day uniforms and that they are washed and clean. Also, make sure your teams are ready to go at your scheduled time.
