9/21: CMHS Back to School Night

Back-to-School Night for parents/guardians is coming up on Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   We will be following a bell schedule with an opportunity to visit all 7 periods.

Parents|Guardians, please report to your student’s homeroom class at 6:00p (see the attached listing for reference) to pick up your student’s schedule and the bell schedule for the evening.

Parents/guardians will follow their student’s schedule, taking the opportunity to meet teachers, learn about the courses of study, and receive copies of the teachers’ expectations for the year.  This sharing of information with parents/guardians is critical for student success at CMHS.

If you would like to make an appointment to meet with your student’s counselor, please contact our guidance departments at (508) 866-6144  High School   (508) 866-6134  Middle School

We look forward to seeing you!

Pre-School Role Model Screenings

The Carver Public Schools’ Preschool Program, located at the Carver Elementary School, will be begin scheduling appointments on Monday, September 18, 2017, for screenings for role model slots for the 2017-2018 school year.  Screenings will be held on Friday, September 29 and Friday, October 20 between 12:30 and 2:00.

A screening is required for acceptance into the program. Children considered are those who do not currently receive special education services and are not in need of special education services. Applicants are expected to demonstrate age appropriate skills (within 6 months) in the areas of speech and language, cognitive/school readiness, fine and gross motor development, and social/emotional and behavioral development. In addition, a child must have been at least 3 years of age by September 1, 2017 and toilet trained.  They must also be a resident of Carver and families must provide transportation to and from the program.  Those children found eligible will be entered into a lottery.  Appropriate role model students who are not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list.  Please note that slots are limited.

This program for role model students is a fee based program.  We offer 2, 3, and 4 half day sessions; the fee for each half day is $12.00.

If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact Pauline Lopez at (508) 866-6220 or Kelly Yenulevich at (508) 866-6210.
