Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That’s dangerous and often tragic. That’s why it was great to see thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in – safely and anonymously – a record amount of prescription drugs.

Athletic Banner ProjectAt the end of last year, a team of administrators, coaches, former coaches, and a member of the Athletic Boosters met to consider redesigning and updating the athletic banners in the High School gym. Mrs. Kincade reviewed their proposal at the recent school committee meeting on September 29, 2025. The 4 main reasons for the projects is to:
All individual state championships will still have a banner. All individual sports accomplishments (i.e. 1000 points) will be on a plaque that will be displayed in the athletic lobby. Any name recognized on the current banners will be displayed either on new banners or on plaques displayed in the lobby.
Please click here to view all of the new proposed banners and plaques.
In order to give the community the opportunity for questions, the school committee will not vote to approve the new proposed banners until their next meeting on October 20, 2025.Please address any questions to Superintendent, Scott Knief at KniefS@carver.org

Our Fall Bullying Prevention School wide lessons took place on October 9. Counselors, teachers and building administrators partnered together to read a book, co-teach the lesson and support the students as we discussed how we can all work together to reduce bullying behaviors in our school. Student showed high interest in the topic and their participation during the lesson was strong. We encourage you to talk with your children at home about what they learned at school. Asking them questions about the books: The Pout-Pout Fish and Bully, Bully Shark (Grades K-3 and Weird, A Story about Dealing with Bullying Grades 4 -5) is a great way to start the dialogue. We are intentional about supporting our students to reduce bullying behaviors, increase a positive school climate, build student resiliency and promote positive social skills.
Students at CMHS were invited to join MassBio Ed for a Foodborne Illness Lab where students had to examine foods to determine which was the contained sample. Students were able to participate in this college level lab using high-level equipment as well. Also in the world of science – select Innovation Pathways teachers and students were invited to attend the Blue Futures conference in Plymouth last week where they were able to hear about future careers in innovation and environmental sciences and got to meet Bill Nye “the Science Guy”
