Please see the notice below from the Board of Health:
The Board of Health, at our meeting on Tuesday night 10/22, voted to advise residents to continue to follow Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines to reduce the risk of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus, including restricting outdoor activities after dusk. Carver’s EEE risk remains at CRITICAL LEVEL” until a wide spread hard freeze, which consists of temperatures below 28 degrees for a minimum of 4 consecutive hours, occurs.
Nov. 2nd marks the end of daylight saving. So effective Sunday, Nov. 3rd, the ban on outdoor activities will begin at 4:00 pm and extend until 7:00 am.
We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and once the hard freeze is confirmed by MDPH and the “State of Emergency” is lifted, we will let everyone know. We appreciate your continued cooperation.
