Congratulations these Crusader Athletes named South Shore League Spring Athletic All Stars and recognized for their demonstration of exceptional skills setting the standards for their peers not just in athletic skill but in character, discipline, teamwork and perseverance.  Congratulations also to Emma Wall who was named League Player of the Year for Track and Field.

Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week: May 8, 2025

   

RYDER HOLMES – Baseball
  • Ryder threw a complete game on the mound on Wednesday, April 30 versus Mashpee only allowing 3 hits, 5 walks, zero runs and an impressive 14 strikeouts.
  • The team won 1-0 vs. Mashpee and is currently ranked #14 in the D5 tournament power rankings.
  • “Ryder is a great leader and a role model to younger players on the team” –Coach Cunningham

PAIGE MEDICO – Softball

  • Paige had a great game against Rockland going 3-4 from the plate, batting in 2 runs and scoring once herself.
  • The team won vs. Rockland 7-5 on the road.
  • “Paige is such a good player to have on the team, and willing to play anywhere she is needed as she has played shortstop, left field and centerfield so far this season.” – Coach Silva

APRIL 2025


Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week: April 30, 2025

  

JADYN SOTOMAYOR – Track & Field
  • Jadyn is undefeated in the 100M dash this season – she is also the anchor in the 4 x 100 relay team.
  • “Jadyn is the definition of a complete track and field athlete … her versatility is a testament to her athleticism, determination and deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in every aspect of the sport.”  – Coach Trudeau
  • Jadyn plans to play soccer and study early childhood education at Curry College next year.

BILLY  BELIVEAU – Track & Field

  • Billy has qualified for the state championships for Javelin.
  • He is a three-sport athlete in football, winter trac, and spring track and field.
  • “He is the product of years of work and is proof that as long as you’re willing to put in the work, greatness is achieve able.” – Coach Trudeau
  • After graduation, Billy will pursue his real estate license and plans to work in the construction industry.

LYLA MOORE – Softball
  • Lyla hit her first home run of the season against Cohasset which was a three run homer.
  • She has a batting average of .400 with 5 RBI’S at the place after her first game.
  • On the mound, she has pitched 6.2 innings and 4 K’s and 5 earned runs.
  • “As the year goes on she’ll only become better and a force to deal with on the mound and at the plate” – Coach Silva

BEN DURANT – Boys Tennis

  • Ben has never played competitive tennis before this year.  In three short weeks, he rose up the ladder to first singles and got Carver’s first singles win in 3 years.
  • “Ben’ s dedication and commitment to the sport is clearly demonstrated by his focus and attention to detail in practice Ben continues to push himself and his teammates to be the best they can be everyday” – Coach Tim Murphy

Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week: April 2, 2025

JAKE HOLDEN – Track & Field
  • Jake had a PR in the mile in the first meet of the year with a time of 4 minutes and 47 seconds!
  • In the first meet Jake has already qualified for states in the Mile and in the 800M.
  • “Jake trained all off season to prepare for this year.  He expects to qualify for states in more events and has goals to break school records.” – Coach Ieronimo

SOPHIA TIBBETTS – Track & Field

  • Sophia had a PR in Javelin in the first meet of the season by 7 feet.  This throw also qualified her for states.
  • “She works just as hard in the off-season as she does during the season” – Coach Ieronimo
  • We are so happy that Sophia hit this accomplishment in the first meet of the season, congrats Sophia!

Assistant Principal Sean McInnis and Athletic Director Kelsey Kincade had the distinct honor to celebrate our 2025 Scholar Athletes Sarah Stairs and Kyle Hoffman at the 15th Annual South Shore League Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet . The student-athletes who were honored have been selected to represent the top student athletes in the South Shore League based on academics, athletic participation, sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship. They have all successfully balanced a demanding academic schedule with participation in athletics and extracurricular activities.

Congratulations to these outstanding Crusader athletes Coleson Tully, Elena Thomas, Ryan Wall, Chloe Christen, Maya Sepulveda and Julia Grimes who were recently recognized by the school committee for their outstanding achievements in athletics.

FEBRUARY 2025


Congratulations to wrestlers Elena Thomas and Jack Reed who placed in the All State Round of the tournament! Jack Reed took 8th place and Elena took 3rd place and will continue on to the New England’s level of competition!


Congratulations to Crusader athletes Ryan Wall and Chloe Christen on their outstanding career accomplishments and milestones setting new indoor records for Carver Schools! Ryan set a new shotput record for Carver Schools at 40’10.75″ and Chloe set a new long jump record at 15′ 8.5″

Congratulations to these Crusader Wrestlers who will be headed to the All States level of competition due to the their outstanding performances at the state level competition this past weekend including two State Champion wrestlers, Coleson Tully and Elena Thomas!! 

Congratulations also to Aaron Reed and Jack Reed who both hit career milestones of 100 wins in Wrestling!


Did you know Carver Public Schools is a Unified Champion School? Congratulations to the Unified Basketball team on a great season and congratulations to Senior Unified Athlete, Johnathan Carroll who was recognized at the Senior Night unified basketball scrimmage on February 14.


Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Team who was named 2024-25 South Shore League Champions!!


Congratulations to Crusader athlete Maya Sepulveda on her outstanding career accomplishments and milestones setting a new indoor shotput record for Carver Schools at 31’4.25!

Congratulations to Crusader athlete Julia Grimes on her outstanding career accomplishment and milestone reaching 1000 career rebounds in Girls Basketball!
Congratulations to the Wrestling Team on a successful season! The team finished 7th overall at the division tournament with 2 tournament champions, Jack Reed and Coleson Tully, Aaron Reed took 2nd place and Michael Brennan took third. Captain Coleson Tully was also awarded the Outstanding Wrestler  Tournament Award. NOLAN KENNEALLY – Indoor Track & Field
  • Nolan made states in three events:
    • High Jump (6″)
    • 55M Dash (6.91)
    • 4 x 200
  • Nolan was selected to be a South Shore League All Star
  • Best of luck to Nolan and the rest of the team as we enter the post season.

MAYA SEPULVEDA – Indoor Track & Field

  • Maya won the shotput event at the South Shore League Championship meet – coming in 1st out of 31 athletes with a throw of 29’10”
  • Maya’s season PR in shotput is 30’05”
  • Maya qualified for states and is a South Shore League all star.
  • Good luck in the post season to Maya and the rest of the team.
 

Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week: February 5, 2025

  JULIA GRIMES – Girls Basketball
  • In three games last week, Julia averaged 15 pts. 20 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks a game to lead the team to three wins.
  • “Julia defines what I  call “Relentless Pursuit of the Basketball”, which in turn is a relentless pursuit of winning” – Coach Ponte
  • Team Record: 11-4 (Qualified for the D4 State Tournament)

JACK REED – Wrestling

  • Jack is a 2024 Allstate Qualifier, a 4 year member of the wrestling team, and a coach of Carver Youth Wrestling.
  • Jack has climbed the podium at all three of the tournaments he wrestled in this year.
  • With the regular season coming to an end this weekend, jack currently has an impressive record of 33 wins and only 5 losses on the season so far.
 

JANUARY 2025


Congratulations to Crusader Athletes of the Week: January 29, 2025

  BROOKLYN BENTING – Girls Ice Hockey
  • Brooklyn has 2 assists so far in  the season.
  • She is the most consistent winger on the team who does all the little things right.
  • Strong on picks, first on the back check and always around the net in the offensive zone.
  • “She is a great teammate and very coachable” -Coach Ferreira
  • Team record: 7-6-1

LOGAN MOORE – Boys Ice Hockey

  • Logan scored his first varsity goal on 1/18/2025 in a 4-1 win against Cohasset/Hull.
  • Logan has 1 goal and 4 assists on the season.
  • “Logan has stepped into a major defense role this season and is always looking for ways to improve” – Coach Antell
  • Current team record is 3-7-2

NATE HELMS – boys Basketball

  • This past week, Nate had 16 PTS, 14 RBS vs Randolph and 22 PTS, 17 RBS vs. Hull in a 2-0 for the team.
  • Nate is averaging 16 Points, 11.7 Rebs, 2.4 Steals per game on the season.
  • Nate was nominated for the Patriot Ledger Boys Basketball Player of the Week.  Go vote now!
  • Team Record: 3-5

ALYSSA VIRDEN – Indoor Track & Field

  • Alyssa placed 4th out of 24 Runners in the 600M at the Winter Warrior HS Meet with a PR of  1:57:71
  • She is very versatile athlete running relays as well as 1000M, High Jump and Long Jump.
  • With a PR of 4-8 in High Jump and a PR of 14’10 in the Long Jump, she is very close to qualifying for states in both, says Coaches Trudeau and Ieronimo

  • WEEK 1 NOMINATION FOR PATRIOT LEDGER GIRLS  BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK.
  • “JOSIE HAS SEEN THE EMBODIMENT OF OUR EVERYDAY TEAM MANTRA OF WORK HARD , GET BETTER” -Coach Ponte
  • TEAM RECORD: 4 – 3

COLESON TULLY– Wrestling

  • ​COLESON HAS KICKED OFF THE FIRST HALF OF THE 2024 / 25 WRESTLING SEASON WITH AN IMPRESSIVE RECORD OF 20 WINS ANO ONLY 1 LOSS BRINGING HIS CAREER RECORD TO 133 WINS . THIS PLACES HIM WITHIN REACH OF A SCHOOL RECORD .
  • HE HAS SECURED THE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IN 3 OUT OF 4 TOURNAMENTS INCLUDING THE SECOND LARGEST  TOURNAMENT IN THE STATE, COMPETING AGAINST 36 OTHER TEAMS .
  • NOT ONLY IS TULLY CARVER ‘ S FIRST MARSHFIELD TOURNAMENT CHAMPION IN OVER 20 YEARS , HE WAS NAMED THE TOURNAMENT OUTSTANDING WRESTLER ANO RECOGNIZED INDIVIDUALLY AMONGST ALL WRESTLERS COMPETING .

  • JAKE HAS QUALIFIED FOR STATES IN THREE EVENTS THIS SEASON: THE 600M WITH A PR OF 1 : 29 . 45 , THE 1000M WITH A PR OF 2 : 52 .85, AND THE ONE MILE WITH A PR OF 4 : 50 . 07 .
  • AT THE MERCURY GAMES, JAKE MEDALED IN THE MILE COMING IN 4TH PLACE .
  • AT THE MSTCA FRESHMAN – SOPHOMORE MEET , JAKE MEDALED IN THE 600M COMING IN 6TH OUT OF 91 RUNNERS .

EMMA WALL– Indoor Track & Field

  • ​EMMA HAS QUALIFIED FOR STATES IN THE HIGH JUMP WITH HER PR OF 5 ‘ 0 .
  • EMMA WON THE HIGH JUMP AT THE MSTCA FRESHMAN – SOPHOMORE MEET, COMING IN FIRST PLACE OUT 0F 48 JUMPERS.
  • AT THE MERCURY GAMES , EMMA MEDALED IN THE HIGH JUMP PLACING 3 RD .
  • EMMA ALSO PARTICIPATES IN THE 4X200 AND 4X400 RELAYS
