February’s “I” in Kind Students

100 Days of School (PreK-5); 1,000 Days of School (Grade 5)

JANUARY 2023

January’s “I” in Kind Students

Kindergarten students and their families participated in the Kindergarten Glow Bowling. Disco balls and flashing lights made the night shine.

Members of the school community recognized the A.D. Makepeace Company and Chris Ierardi of the Read Custom Soils division and Bob Ieronimo from New England Cranberry Corp. for their generous donation of time and materials in the construction of the Walking/Running path at CES.

The walking/running path winds nearly half a mile around fields that are used by town soccer for youth games and practices and by the Phys. Ed. classes and running club at CES.

The students shared their enthusiasm for the new walking/running path and shared their love for running and bike riding including time with family, following their passions and gaining a sense of achievement (especially when beating their parents in a race!).  Many thanks also to Renee DeMarsh, the Carver DPW, the students who came to represent CES at the School Committee Meeting:  and all those who helped to support this project.

Kudos and Bravo to the 1st-grade students and CES Chorus and Band students for their Holiday performances on December 8 and December 15.  Great job and thanks for bringing us some holiday cheer!  Many thanks to Kat Krampf, Paul Howard, and the Grade 1 Teachers for their work to prepare and instruct the students!

NOVEMBER 2022

November’s “I” in Kind Students

On Friday, November 18, Carver Elementary hosted a Title One and Family Movie Night.   The night was filled with family fun, movies, and books – where each student who attended was able to select a bag of books to take home to continue their passion for literacy!  Thanks to everyone who came and volunteered to make this great event such a success!

OCTOBER 2022

Grade 1 & 2 elementary students as part of their reading curriculum were tasked to create a pumpkin character based on a book of their choice.  Below are some examples of their creativity!  Great job to all of the students on their projects!
